Into the Woods - The Witch's Gownby ~SinisterlySweet

Artisan Crafts / Costumery / Costumes / Stage & Screen

This incredible dress was sewn by the one and only ~magic-needle for the Port Tobacco Players production of Into the Woods. It was worn by the Witch after her beautification. Melody asked me to do some stencil work on the blank panels of the dress, so we searched for the right colors and patterns for weeks until we came up with this and I (very gingerly) freehanded those vines on with a prismacolor marker (light umber). Melody was kind enough to snap these photos during some repairs so that we could show off a little.

If you look carefully, you might find my signature somewhere along the back.

Wow, that is breathtaking!

It's makes me depressed though, cause I want to see the show so badly! Arrghh....will there be someone videotaping it?

Oh well, at least I can comfort myself that I too found the signature!
The B in belle looks to be made out of the vine itself, is it so or just my imagination?

Sadly, we can't record for posterity anymore because a few bad eggs ruined it for the rest of us by broadcasting to all of youtube. But I'm tagged in a few videos on facebook where you can hear us sing!

That's what I was going for, I didn't notice that there was a "B" shape until it was done and I just added some other vine-y letters.
